What’s Making Me Swoon!

Hey Dolls! I know I’m late to the game, but I have a new obsession – eyebrow stencils! I know, I know. Some of you Dolls are like, “Old news, we’ve moved on to Microblading.” Well, I’m not there yet; and in the meantime eyebrows stencils are making me swoon.

I have my eyebrows done at the Anastasia Brow Bar in Nordstrom. Jessica is amazing. The challenge is that I have naturally fine eyebrows that aren’t thick enough to do the high arch I love. You know the one where it looks like I am giving you the glare of death once I raise a brow. Said solution, Anastasia Eyebrow Stencils!

Inspired by the Golden Ratio, a mathematical ratio of 1.618 to 1, which offers the key to finding balance, symmetry, and beauty, Anastasia created a unique and breakthrough method of shaping brows – the Golden Ratio Technique.

In the world of high arches, her technique involves establishing three precise points (on the brow): one that lies on an imaginary line running vertically through the middle of the nostril; the High Point on the eyebrow arch, which can be found on a line connecting the tip of the nose to the center of the iris; and finally, the point that lies on a line running through the edge of the corresponding nostril through the outer edge of the eye. The High Point divides the eyebrow arch in precisely the Golden Ratio. (Yep, it’s that deep!)

Anastasia’s Eyebrow Stencils, foolproof guides based on the ratio, are made with an easy to use pliable plastic, and come in an arch for every occasion and mood. For my daily go-to, I select the mid-range medium arch. But for a dramatic look, I choose the high arch or I call it the Hannah Brofman brow.

Not sure what shape best fits your face, Anastasia recommends the following:

  • Petite Arch. Recommended for small facial features.
  • Slim High Arch.  Recommended for brows in training, growth challenged, thin or sparse brows.
  • Medium Arch. Recommended for brows with a softer arch that naturally creates less space between the bottom of the brow and the top of the eye.
  • High Arch. Recommended for brows with a higher arch that naturally creates more space between the bottom of the brow and the top of the eye.
  • Full Arch. Recommended for the fullest shape and larger facial features.

Feeling a bit bold, forget the recommendations and play with different shapes.

Check out Anastasia shape and define over-tweezers brows using the high-arch stencil.

To get you started, I suggest picking up the Brow Kit. It has all of the accoutrements you will need to create the perfect brow.

And remember, “eyebrows are sisters, not twins.” | Anastasia

I will post a pic on my Instagram page this week with the full on high-arch; but no judgement Dolls.

Until then, keep sharing the pretty,

TPD

  1. Thanks for sharing. I have been going to the Anastasia brow bar for a few years now and I swear by them. I keep the Anastasia clear brow gel in my makeup bag
    Great product. .

  2. I love beautiful brows but mine are basically non-existent and I couldn’t determine where to out the ‘brow stencil. So, I draw them on w a pencil and use the Anastasia eyebrow cream.
